BOEM Forum on Proposed Financial Assurance Criteria

On September 22, 2015, BOEM issued proposed guidance to clarify procedures for oil and gas companies operating on the OCS. The proposed guidance details procedures that BOEM will use to determine a lessee's financial ability to carry out its obligations, primarily the decommissioning of OCS facilities, and the potential need for additional security.
BOEM is holding a Forum on these Proposed Financial Assurance Criteria on October 9, 2015, in Houston, Texas. During this forum, BOEM will present the proposed metrics and take questions from participants.
The forum will take place at the Houston Airport Marriott, 18700 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Houston, TX 77032. Doors will open to the Intercontinental Ballroom A at 8:00 AM.
