The Center for Offshore Safety (COS) and the Offshore Operators Committee (OOC) are holding a SEMS Audit Process Workshop, on Thursday, April 23rd, from 8AM to 5PM, in Houston, TX (specific location details to follow).
OCS operators, drilling contractors, service & supply companies and audit service providers - as well as representatives from COS, OOC, BSEE, USCG and DOT - will be in attendance.
OOC requests that each organization send only one representative (specifically, the person most directly involved with the SEMS audit process during the first round of BSEE SEMS audits). Additional representatives from an organization may be accepted, but only if space is available.
Workshop objectives include:
- Share Insights and Lessons from the first SEMS Audit cycle
- Share SEMS audit activities currently underway at COS and OOC
- Identify opportunities where BSEE and industry might work collaboratively to improve the SEMS audit process
