The Ocean Energy Safety Institute (OESI) and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) are holding their first joint workshop to discuss Human Factors to Support Safer and Effective Offshore Energy Operations.
OESI and HFES are collaborating to show how Human Factors and Ergonomics science can be applied to enable safer offshore energy operations.
Attendees will learn and be able to take away:
- Leading Human Factors science
- Examples of how this science has been turned into practice to improve safety.
- Guidance on how Human Factors practices can be justified to management when necessary (e.g., through ROI, standards, etc.)

- Improving Situation Awareness through System Design: Dr. Mica Endsley – SA Technologies, Inc.

- Translation to Practice—Role of API RP75: Ajay Shah – Chevron
