On April 28, 2017, President Trump issued Executive Order 13795, outlining an America First Offshore Energy Strategy. As a key piece of this strategy, BOEM is initiating a new National Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Program (National OCS Program) development process to replace the current program.
The first step in the process of developing the National OCS Program is a Request for Information (RFI), inviting comments from the public and stakeholders. That 45-day comment period ends on August 17, 2017 and BOEM would like to hear from you.
Before the RFI comment period closes, BOEM invites stakeholders to join in on a call with BOEM leadership to learn more about the process of developing the National OCS Program.
You may view a presentation about the National OCS Program on BOEM's website in advance of the call. Send any questions to BOEMPublicAffairs@boem.gov for inclusion in the call. If time allows, BOEM will also take questions during the call.
